I visited the labor and delivery ward of hospitals 3 different times in December. It was a beautifully busy month!
Brooke has been with me since the very beginning. She trusted me even when I wasn’t so sure what I was doing. I will forever be grateful for her and her family.
The day was cold & dreary, but the hearts were warm and full. I arrived as Brooke’s family’s pastor was leaving, and immediately went back and was greeted with a beautiful, and surprisingly relaxed smile. A few minutes passed, and extended family joined Brooke and she and Michael anxiously prepared paperwork and waited to be taken back to the OR. Right before they suited up, I gave Michael a quick five minute tutorial and set my camera in a mode that would (and did!) allow him to capture a few images behind the drapes.
The surgery went routinely and Lash Garrison arrived at 11:10am weighing in at 8 lbs 5 oz & THE longest little legs. He was 21 inches of perfection.
Below are a few snapshots these precious moments in time. To see the entire day, click here: Lash’s Birth Story.
