I offer two different styles of sessions for newborns…posed sessions and lifestyle sessions. Most of my clients seek the posed option, however, I have a handful of clients that prefer lifestyle sessions within their homes. It’s always refreshing to shoot lifestyle sessions. It’s a very laid back approach to documenting a day in those first few weeks home with your sweet baby. I’ve found that I love the challenge of finding the perfect angle and playing with light within a client’s home.

Bates was a perfect little sleeper during his lifestyle session (not always the norm ;)), and I really love the way his session came together. Big Sister Cora said I was allowed to take him home with me (and oh how I wanted too!). Ha! I had the privilege of shooting Cora as a newborn and throughout her first year, and I look forward to seeing Bates a time or two in 2016 as well 🙂
